Satellite Images, strictly speaking, satellite data don’t make pictures: they record data (like a fax machine, bar code reader, or digital camera does). We get the data that solves your problem and, from that, create images (that look like photographs) that contain the needed information. You get these pictures in hardcopy (at scales you specify) and/or digital form, in a format that will load easily into your computer or Geographic Information System (e.g. Petra, Geographix, ArcView).
